Staining hardwood floor allows you the option to stain the wood with any desired color, including colors that are not available in pre-finished flooring products. You should consider staining your floors if they look yellowish and orange or looked washed out. Other reasons you would choose to stain your floors is from damaged wood caused by your pets, pot plants or water. As long as the damages is only on the surface and not too deep into the wood, staining would be a good choice.
